Come and try your hand on the potter’s wheel in an open group class of up to 6 people. One of our expert potters will demonstrate the technique of throwing on the potter’s wheel, before you hop on and having a go yourself! It’s a useful tool to learn from both sides of the wheel, which is why we share 1 wheel between 2 people, if there are 2 of you, you will be sharing with your partner, or if you come by yourself it may we with another person.
Aprons will be provided to keep you clean, whilst clay washes out it’s best to wear dark colours and trousers to keep yourself decent! Long nails and pottery don’t go very well, so if you want to make life easier for yourself make sure they are trimmed.
Kids from ages 8 and up as well as larger group bookings are very welcome too!
After your class has finished the pieces will then be fired, glazed and fired again, ready for collection or postage (Additional £10) around 4 weeks later.
There is the also the option to return and decorate your pieces in one of our pottery painting sessions, which would be an additional fee of £22.50 per person.
We have a 1 week advance notice policy for rescheduling or cancelling bookings.
