Private Pottery Class

Come and try your hand on the potter’s wheel! You will have a dedicated pottery tutor for your session, who will demonstrate the technique of throwing on the potter’s wheel, before hopping on and having a go yourself! In your 90 minute session, you can expect to make around 4 pieces, if you book for multiple people they would make 2 pieces each. 

Aprons will be provided to keep you clean, whilst clay washes out it’s best to wear dark colours and trousers to keep yourself decent! Long nails and pottery don’t go very well, so if you want to make life easier for yourself make sure they are trimmed.

Kids from ages 8 and up as well as larger group bookings are very welcome too!

After your class has finished the pieces will then be fired, glazed and fired again, ready for collection or postage (Additional £10) around 4 weeks later.

There is the also the option to return and decorate your pieces in one of our pottery painting sessions, which would be an additional fee of £25 per person.

Please note that although you will have a private tutor for your group, there may be other classes taking place in the same room.
